I was thought not to break a person's name at the end of a sentence when writing a letter/memo. Nowadays, I see that as the trend in written correspondence from admin assistants.
Can anyone help me on that? I am from the old school andguess not moving with the times.
With the advent of MS Words, some rule of thumb in writing correspondence has gone through the door - (to many for the window).

Greetings,
I am interested in starting a Student Chapter of the IAAP at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
I am a full time student there in the Business Operation Systems Program, where I am seeking a Administrative Assistant Technology Associates Degree.
I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions that you can share about this process, and would love to connect with someone who has started or is involved with a Student Chapter

Help please - I have been given the task to write up a directive on how to properly answer a business phone for another department. Now, I've been doing it for about 40 years and don't even think about it - it just comes naturally. How would you write this up?
Thanks for any help,
Doris Cook CPS

A few days ago I posted a blog beginning with an analogy to acronyms. Another acronym in the RTF is “FOG” – the Family of Givers program.
This program is genius – thanks to the 2006-07 Board of Trustees for initiating it, and the 2007-08 BOT for pushing it along, and the 2008-09 BOT for celebrating six Pacesetters (donor’s of more than $1,000.00) at EFAM 2009. The FOG program is advantageous in that through it; individuals, chapters, and divisions are recognized. We track your donations from your first donation directly to the Trust (does not include chapter/division coin collections) and forward. At varying times when you will reach specific levels, we are happy to send you a small token of recognition and acknowledge you in our annual report.

So you have inherited data that you know includes duplicate rows (or maybe you are merging a couple of lists together that have overlapping data) and you sure would like to find a way to remove those duplicates without having to manually delete the rows. To accomplish this action previously in prior Excel versions, you had to create a somewhat complicated Visual Basic macro. Enter Excel 2007 and the very nifty (I will repeat that: VERY NIFTY) Remove Duplicates feature that has been added.
